Hendrix carriage

Red Spot - Sold - sold

A portrait/landscape oil painting featuring an exposed railway carriage in the process of renovation on the beach.

Jimmy Hendrix is known to have loved walking on Dungeness 'back in the days'.

This painting is a rumination on the passage of time and the poetic influence of the beach.

The traces of rooms and partitions visible as vibrantly coloured sections on the proud little carriage suggest a recorded imprint of the passing decades.

The Project celebrates a fine mess painted with a reverence for Christopher Wood and Kitaj.
